The oncogene Musashi1 encodes novel miRNAs in breast cancer
Background: RNA-binding protein Musashi1 (MSI1) shows an increased expression level in several cancers and has been introduced as a prognostic marker in some malignancies. It is expected that if any miRNA is encoded by this gene, it might have a role in cancer development or could be considered as a prognostic biomarker.

Parabens preferentially accumulate in metastatic breast tumors compared to benign breast tumors and the association of breast cancer risk factors with paraben accumulation
Background: Parabens are a category of antimicrobial preservatives that may play a role in the etiology and epidemiology of cancers. Parabens are employed in a wide range of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, personal care products, andprocessed foods. Parabens are thought to influence the evolution of carcinogenesis in breast cancer by acting as genotoxicants, cell proliferation factors, migratory and metastatic activators, and hyper-accumulate in breast cancer cells.

Lung cancer registry and monitoring: Feasibility study and application (fars lung cancer registry project)
Background: Lung cancer (LC) is the second most common and deadliest cancer in the world. Despite the control of the progressive course of LC in developed countries, studies indicate an increase in the incidence of the disease in developing countries. We designed a stepwise approach‑based surveillance system for registering LC in our region (fars lung cancer registry “FaLCaRe” Project).

LncRNA FLVCR1-AS1 functions as competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) to sponge miR-381-3p and aggravate colorectal cancer via upregulation of Wnt signaling pathway
Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most frequent cancer and the second deadliest cancer, worldwide. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been introduced as vital regulators of CRC. lncRNA feline leukemia virus subgroup C receptor 1 antisense RNA 1 (FLVCR1‑AS1) is suggested to play a significant role in the tumorigenesis of several cancers.

Human recombinant soluble PD1 can interference in T cells and Treg cells function in response to MDA-MB-231 cancer cell line
Background: PD1/PDL1 pathway targeting using antibodies shows immune related adverse events in patients with tumors. The masking of PD1 ligand by soluble human PD-1 (shPD-1) probably inhibits the PD1/PDL1 interaction between T cells and tumor cells. Accordingly, the goal of this study was to produce human recombinant PD-1-secreting cells and find out how soluble human PD-1 affects T lymphocyte function.

Novel biomarkers for neoplastic progression from ulcerative colitis to colorectal cancer: a systems biology approach
Background: In recent studies, the void of evaluation and in-depth understanding of unknown clinically relevant potential molecular biomarkers involved in colorectal cancer (CRC) from the inflammatory stage of ulcerative colitis (UC) to CRC metastasis, which can be suitable therapeutic targets, is deeply felt. The regulation and interaction among different cancer-promoting molecules, including messenger RNAs (mRNAs) and micro RNAs (miRNAs) in CRC and its progression, were the aim we pursued in this study.
